Stars and Stripes forever
July 8, 2008Happy Belated 4th of July!
July 8, 2008Yes, I did not post over the weekend, my reasoning for not doing so were simple. Most people who surf blogs were busy doing “holiday stuff” over the weekend, as was a majority of the country. Personally, I spent the time setting off fireworks, grilling food for friends, and enjoying the company of my wife and my friends.
That said, I would like to address one topic that came up over the weekend. That of the distain that certain people have both for the country I live in, and their distain for anything that can be viewed as “patriotic”. Now, some of them would claim that they feel that patriotism has been stretched to far, that it has been politicized. They can claim that no longer is patriotism about “Our country! In her intercourse with foreign nations, may she always be in the right; but our country, right or wrong!” as Stephen Decatur said. They claim that there is no reason to be proud of where you are born through a miracle of chance, they think of themselves as part of a global community, not as part of their home community.
The problem isn’t their patriotism. The problem is that they are vehemently anti-American. They are rabid globalists, their hatred not just of their own country, but of their own birth turns them against the greatest country on the planet. They watch scenes of Americans doing anything good and heartwarming, and they decry it as a stunt or some other silly jackassery. These people aren’t Americans, these people are the heralds of doom.
Every great nation reaches a certain point where almost nothing they do can save them from collapse and their own destruction. Rome reached that point, Great Britain, Tzarist Russia, and as much as I hate to say it I believe we have now passed that point. Ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you that while our country is a wonderful place that in my mind, is right, no matter how wrong she may be in others views, our country is partially doomed because there are no longer enough people who still believe that same sentiment.
This saddens me.
I would write something here but
July 4, 2008It’s the 4th of July. Go detonate explosives, make merry, drink until you are almost ready to pass out, and eat copious amounts of BBQ. It’s what I plan to do. I’ll actually talk about the 4th and why I feel it important tomorrow.
Muslims hate puppies
July 2, 2008A postcard featuring a cute puppy sitting in a policeman’s hat advertising a Scottish police force’s new telephone number has sparked outrage from Muslims.
Tayside Police’s new non-emergency phone number has prompted complaints from members of the Islamic community.
The choice of image on the Tayside Police cards – a black dog sitting in a police officer’s hat – has now been raised with Chief Constable John Vine.
The advert has upset Muslims because dogs are considered ritually unclean and has sparked such anger that some shopkeepers in Dundee have refused to display the advert.
Right. So now we can add “pictures of puppies” to the list of things that offend muslims. Puppies now join an auspicious list full of such things as “freedom, women, pigs, America, civil rights, Israel, fun, laughter, breathing, and being alive”. I’m really starting to wonder if there is anything in the world that doesn’t offend muslim culture.
Seriously here folks, everything under the sun is going to piss off one person or another, nobody is going to be happy with everyone and how they act or think or talk or what have you. The simple fact of reality is that we are all going to be offended by something, muslim, jewish, christian, everyone will be offended by something. If we start changing how EVERYTHING is done simply so that we no longer risk offending ANYONE then we are going to start showing a bland white post card with bland white lettering that doesn’t say anything.
Of course, that may offend someone in the black panthers, so we probably don’t want to do that either.
So allow me to suggest a new idea. Let’s stop worrying about offending people and rely upon a “common sense” rule. If your common sense says that it’s going to piss off say… muslims, then its fine. If it will piss off everyone who isn’t a muslim, then it’s probably not a great idea, add some bacon to it.

All about Joe Horn
July 2, 2008And no, I’m not going to be talking about the guy who plays for the Atlanta Falcons.
Let’s play a small game of “what would you do”. You are sitting at home, it’s evening, and your neighbor is away from home. Maybe he asked you to take care of his goldfish, maybe he asked you to check his mail, maybe he asked you to stay off his fucking lawn, who cares.
This evening, you see two guys who are obviously breaking into his home. You call police and grab your shotgun. The police waffle about coming to resolve the problem, they urge you to remain locked in your home, away from any possible confrontation with these two upstanding members of your community. You, tired of the fact that crime rates are soaring, tired of the fact that police and prosecutors are coddling criminals, and wanting to make sure that stuff your neighbor spent his hard earned money on is still his in the morning, tell the police that you are going to go solve the problem. As you are getting ready to go outside, they exit your neighbors house with stuff, and start making their way to your house, robbery probably still on their minds. You walk outside with your shotgun. Now, as per the scenario, what do you do?
Personally, I hope that everyone who goes outside and confronts the two criminals would give both of them a blast in the face. I know that if it came down to it, I would do the same thing. I have no problem with people protecting one anothers property rights even to the point of sending two scumbags to the great jail in the sky. If you want to live a nice life, go get a job, work for a living, and I will have no problem with you.
Of course, these two people who ended up dead decided that they wanted to go the cheap way, they tried to get the life that they wanted by stealing it from those who already earned it. While yes, this is the exact same way that the government acts when they pass new tax laws, and yes this is very probably a result of the coddling done by the government towards criminals and criminal culture, this is also exactly how the world should react to people acting this way.
So with two dead scumbags, Joe Horn, the guy who sent them both to the great trash heap in the sky was charged with murder, and the grand jury threw the charges out. Of course, this happened in Texas where most citizens will ignore dead criminals, but now the nation is in a great uproar about it. Just like they were in an uproar when state governments passed the Castle Doctine laws, just like they were in an uproar when states passed conceal and carry laws, just like… well… you get the idea.
At the end of the day, the entire situation can be summed up as follows.
Criminals 0. Citizens 2.
Also, with this post we open up a new section here at my rambling. Perviously we had two categories, one being Islamofascism, the other being uncategorized. Join me please in welcoming “Citizens fight back” to the post categories.
Donate your body to art!
July 1, 2008From the wonderful folks over at the Communist News Network comes this wonderful news.
Traditionally, medical schools have been the most common recipients of willed specimens in America. Then, in 1993, controversial German anatomist Gunther von Hagens emerged with an alternative.
Von Hagens, a self-styled iconoclast who earned the moniker Dr. Frankenstein in Europe for performing a public dissection, invented plastination in the 1970s.
He spent the next few years popularizing and refining the process, which replaces bodily fluids and fat with plastic, earning equal shares of admiration and infamy.
In 1993, von Hagens founded the Institute for Plastination in Heidelberg, Germany, a research center that performs plastination and manages the Body Worlds exhibits.
The Institute produces specimens for Body Worlds exhibits and academic institutions that pay anywhere from $200 to $60,000 for them.
Von Hagens says he relies on donors not only as a source of specimens, but also as representations of Body Worlds’ philosophy.
“I feel it is in line with democratic principles that you can decide in your lifetime whether to go to the cemetery or put yourself on display in an exhibition to teach the next generation,” von Hagens said in a recent telephone interview.
That’s right folks. Instead of being buried, you can donate your body not to science, but an art exhibit that travels the world displaying the human body once it has been skinned and mounted in various poses.
This ladies and gentlemen, will be where Zombies come from.
